Indigenous Health Initiative Advisory Board
The Indigenous Health Advisory Board provides guidance and direction for the Indigenous Health Office. Bringing together Indigenous community members, learners, faculty, and staff, the Board helps ensure our work remains grounded in Indigenous perspectives and community priorities.
Board members contribute valuable perspectives informed by their lived experiences and community connections. Members may serve as official representatives of their Indigenous nation or community, or they may participate in their individual capacity while drawing upon their personal experiences and relationships within community.
The Board provides guidance on:

- Community partnerships
- Recruitment initiatives
- Student support
- Research priorities
- Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
- The Healers of Tomorrow Gathering
- Indigenous Health Research Symposium
The Board meets twice each year and continues to play an important role in shaping the future of Indigenous health education at Memorial University.
