The Healers of Tomorrow Gathering encourages Indigenous youth to imagine themselves as future healthcare professionals while celebrating the strength, knowledge, and traditions of their own communities.
Held every two years on Memorial University's Grenfell Campus, this week-long summer camp welcomes approximately twenty Indigenous students in Grades 9–12 from across Newfoundland and Labrador.
Throughout the week, participants:
- Explore careers in healthcare.
- Learn from physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in hands-on learning experiences.
- Connect with Elders, Indigenous leaders, and peers.
- Celebrate Indigenous cultures, traditions, and community.
The Gathering is fully funded for participating students and provides an inspiring introduction to future possibilities in health professions.
